Sleepy Bear
Proudly veteran and family-owned and operated. Sleepy Bear was founded by former army ranger, Kyle Paradiso. Kyle has spent the last few years working at the forefront of veteran issues. After suffering a severe spinal cord injury during service in 2016, Kyle was medically retired and returned to his alma mater, The Citadel Military College of South Carolina as a veteran service coordinator. His personal injury led him to look towards cannabis research as a pain management alternative and shortly after Kyle placed his professional research focus on the use of THC and CBD for medical interventions in lieu of opioids in the veteran population. During his daily work with veterans, Kyle identified a systemic issue in the veteran community’s general outlook toward cannabis treatment.
